Local Morrisons was still at 95.9 this morning. Everywhere else the wrong side of a quid :o

Now, about those LPG conversions...

Yes indeed, but how long will it be before the money grabbers in government realise that lots of conversions are taking place and hikes up the tax on LPG as well?

True. They'll wait until the pickings are rich enough then they'll strike.

Then again, I said that 7 years ago when I last considered it and it hasn't happened.

Agree about the moaning I also agree that there needs to be action.  Apart from a repeat of the fuel blockades, what, realistically, can be done?

It is all very well to say that everyone should not buy fuel for a day, but we all know that the fuel will be bought even if a day or so later.  Nobody really losses out.

Blockade the houses of parliament?  Have a mass strike across every public service and private company?  It only when there are real costs involved that hurt the government that any notice will be taken and action brought about as a result.

There not likely to hike LPG tax as its a common heating fuel in the Uk......and suddenly wacking a tax on home owners realy wont go down well.

It doesn't stop them doing a "red diesel" though. Fuel duty is dependant upon the end use and it wouldn't be difficult to add a trace chemical to LPG supplied for heating that could be picked up by sniffing LPG from a vehicle. Likely to require too much planning for this government to contemplate, but not impossible.

Still not easy to do....and very costly...its not like you can 'dip' an LPG tank and taking a sample is pretty hard because it evaporates!

How can you sniff it?

Can't get the gas out without part dismantling
