Xenon "transplant"
« on: 23 September 2009, 08:29:45 »

Hi,

An advanced question regarding xenons, as i'm installing them in my '98 V6 CD. Have fitted lights with washers and have "manual" levellers fitted at the moment.

I'm looking to complete the install and use auto levellers with sensors, ECU etc. Ive got it all set up out of the car and will be tackling it in the next week or so.

My question is how does the MFD "know" about the xenons as there is a conection from the xenon ECU and MFD.Can I use my existing MFD, does it need to be reprogrammed (if so how), or should I try and get a MFD thats worked with xenons before - I think the one in the donor car is still available if I'm quick.

Hope that all makes sense.

Rob
