Omega General Help / Misfire
« on: 11 August 2010, 12:24:00 »
Hi all!
problems regarding '03' 2.2 estate.
constant misfire started about a day or so ago.
not very into mechanics, so could it be:
Plugs, plug covers, coil or what?
plug rubbers do look a bit tired, but thats all I can see!!
Any help greatly received.

Ed. :-/

Omega General Help / Main beam and wing mirror!
« on: 27 December 2009, 14:58:35 »
Hi
Been on here before asking about better bulbs for main beam ('03' estate) as have HID dipped beam and am looking for a white or whiter main. Fitted '90 %' brighter from Halfords, and to be honest , can't see the difference!
Also, anyone know how to strip the plastics off a wing mirror without breaking the lugs so I can spray them to match my car colour? Got a nice secondhand one from a member on here and don't want to wreck it if I can help it!!

Thanks,

Ed. :)

Omega General Help / Bit, bobs an tyres!
« on: 10 September 2009, 16:13:17 »
Hi
Wondering if anyone could help me with a couple of daft bits and bobs?
Car is an '03' omega cdx estate. I'm looking for a rear headrest release button (the one that lets the headrest down so you can fold the rear seat) and also, I hope this doesn't sound daft, a letter 'x'. This is off the rear tailgate and has some how been broken!.
A further request is; tyres.
I'm looking for long lasting, quiet tryes. I'm no boy racer and want something that'll give me a quiet ride and loads of mileage!! Anybody got any answers or experience!?

Thanks,

Ed.

Omega General Help / Re: Engine Light on but no Fault Codes!
« on: 29 December 2008, 16:56:26 »
Hi
just read through your mesages.
The exact same thing is happening to my car, except i've just had to have a new cat fitted as mine blew a seam!
Just got it back from the dealers today and they say it's either a sensor (not the mass air) or the ecu.
quoting about £145 for the sensor and the ecu  about £750 !!!!! :-0
If push comes to shove, anywhere I can get a 'cheap' ecu from!? :o
Thanks,
Ed
