Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Re: X20XEV Lambda Sensor
« on: 17 May 2020, 08:50:20 »
I had the same issue several year ago with the 2.6 v6, not sure if would affect yours :-\, was a common issue EML on all time, or intermittent, car ran fine. Car was left with Marks DTM for a few months while i was away sunning myself, lambda's were repositioned further back from what i recall and never had the problems since, should be a thread somewhere on this. Unless MarksDTM replies :y

Well weather is looking good for Fly Fishing this Wednesday, rules are start from 7.30 to 4pm, open open during weekdays for now, have to stay 15 metres apart from other anglers, which is about the distance between pegs, limit eight members maximum, site shop is shut, as is the fishing lodge, but able to use toilets :y, reasonably large venue :y

Arse end looks fine :y

That front camber needs re doing, because they clearly didn't even try :-X

He said that was the best he could get it :o

rubbish. There's easily 6° of adjustment just by loosening the strut to hub nuts and prying on the wheel.

Those figures of 1°28 will wear the inner tyre edges and make the steering really nervous. It should be more like 1°10.

Cheers for the feedback, will be going round there this morning, get it sorted :y

Hopefully they'll be doing a full alignment to OOF spec, rather than the tracking...  :D

I will be checking :y , personally when the bloke showed me their alignment was not a proper full set up, like I have seen elsewhere, unless i missed something, still need to go to specsavers ;D

Well good news not as bad as it could have been, getting the work done now, have the car back late tomorrow afternoon, checked all other areas underneath and all fine :y, apart from oil leak coming from somewhere, that's the next problem to sort out :-X..total damage £270...oh and that includes fitting the rear track arms and doing the tracking, happy days :y

Put in a new slimline sub-woofer, and took the big bugger out and got some boot space back, the actual woofer looks nothing like what's on the picture on the link below, slightly varies but still OK, so did put on the back seat then thought I will chop the original woofer enclosure, so I can then put the amp and woofer on either side, so that's what i will be doing today, after go to Greenwich and get some aggregate :y, tomorrow, remove the old OOF sticker from rear window and put the new one in, as old one is somehow stained look, think from smoking in the car ::)

going to have a proper look on Tuesday when get it up on the ramps, and take the bits off, have order quarter panel, as part donor, can get the side sills if required, so Tuesday will be cursory look to find full extent of issue and whether nay other issues lurking that are not currently visible :y, thankfully the garage is just two minutes from my door :) :y :y

As regards the MOT well looks like I have until 22 November now, so no rush to fix, but still needs to be done as soon as can be. :y

Well I checked under the rear seat and everything is fine, showed to the repair guy in the garage round the corner so dropping it in Tuesday morning to have repair done, will be wanting to see extent once they take off side skirt, and wheel arch cover. Have no choice have to get it done next week as MOT is due the following week, will keep you all posted on developments :y

Dont forget that your mot has had 6 months added to it so dont bust a gut !!

Yeah good point, have ordered a rear quarter panel, and subject to what find on tuesday, can get a side sill if required. So if need to order another bit then it will wait until part arrives, so investigate fully first. Gonna see/try to take the irmscher side skirt off today see what' lurking underneath, might have a go at the wheel arch cover, but think that's a wheel off job?, if it is will leave until tuesday, would just like to see whether the sill is fubared and needs replaced.

Well after finding some holes in the passenger wheel arch, went onto clean the engine bay, long overdue, and had ordered a heel mat for the car mats that I have had sitting around for quite some time as the old ones had a lot of heavy footed holes in the drivers one, so they have been binned. Could'nt get the right colour of heel plate so sprayed and coated, pics below....

Before...

After.....

Heel Pad for the car mat...
