I've seen your PM, but will answer here.

Your picture is just the symptom of a MUCH bigger hole that covers several different panels, all of which are MOT structural failures due to their location.

Before going any further, you need to remove the sill cover, end cap, plastic endcover inside the wheelarch and the seatcushion. Have a gentle poke about with a small screwdriver in those areas, and along the sill. Have a good cry, and report back.

I would also suggest poking about where the rear bumper covers the quarter panel.

It's fixable, but with exception of the sill(I prefer to replace the whole panel rather than several patches) a lot of fiddly work. To give some idea of the size of the job, I scrapped my car instead of doing the second side.

The quarter panel has already had work done, on the wheel arch section a couple of weeks ago but at that point i really never noticed that bit, until earlier this week. I don't really care what it costs to fix, I just want it done right.  :y...Oh and it won't be me doing it, beyond my capabilities ;D

That needs welding and once side skirt and end cap are off it will be worse than that :-X
Fixed.

As above, the rubber strip does indeed pop off. Wheel arch liner off will help to give a clearer picture before getting too involved.

Two points though:

1. A half arsed filler repair will make the actual repair twice as involved.

2. Drop Nick W a bell re patching it. He's in Medway Towns, so not a million miles from Costa Del Peckham, and really knows his onions :y

Cheers, my thoughts also, need to be a proper job done, not half arsed, will drop Nick W a message and see what transpires :y

Came across this the other day, bubbling under the paintwork, so this morning thought i would have a wee chip away at it thinking it might be an easy refill and repair within my realms of doable ::)......, well little bit turned out to identify bigger underlying issue, so think will speak to the guys round the corner would P40 do this and a bit of mesh?....I personally think a bit of welding a section on?, side skirt will also need to come off, and the rubber lower door seal on the body work does not appear to just come off easy, must be stuck with something, don't want to pull too hard on it....

Sorry...I forgot to put some bits in inverted commas, and stuff in brackets so the morons among us could understand  ;D

Hi can you explain and be a bit more clearer in your bits, cause I just don't seem clear to me ??? ::).................. ;D

Couple of questions.

Firstly how much would a professional charge to do that on say an Omega?

Secondly glass treatment. I am interested in that AngelwaxH2go. Is that readily available should the shops ever reopen?

You don't need to wait for the shops to open, available here...... :y

You'll not run out for a while, and £4.50 a can as opposed to £7-8 8)

Just paid £15 for Turtle wax multi purpose foam, carpet mat foam and leather conditioner (20% off at the mo), so not long finished doing the inside, leave the carpets to dry and put the new mats in tomorrow, stroll on engine bay Thursday.

I use Ambersil Groom foaming spray by the box load, works on pretty much anything except engine bay grease :D

It's a bit expensive in Halfords unless it's on offer...

Have plenty engine bay cleaner, GUNK, Autoglym to name a couple, the interior stuff I need..out of all the stuff I have did not have a spare on of them

Good one Mike......your welcome for the bacon rolls but my plan was watching you at work demonstrating your new found car cleaning skills. ;D

Thought as much, found new cleaning skills this afternoon, deep clean of the interior, pillars, ceiling carpets and all that, foam cleaner ran out just when got the last bit, then the hoover battery ran out as well, so will need to finish later as waiting to pick up more foam from Halfords, amount of dirt that's came off, shameful...….looking very clean though, apart from the bits need to finish, will do engine bay on Thursday afternoon.

Welcome back!

I'm not keen on seeing blue light when driving  :o
particularly flashing ones in the rear view mirror  ;D

interesting though, other colours available ? will it still dim down ?

Dimmer still works the LEDs are white, the dials are blue
OK thanks , so what bulbs ? I could do with some brighter behind the info display ,or are they different ?

Bought two packs of these today, higher lumen output than others, hence why slightly more expensive...

https://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs/501-led-car-bulb-halfords-filament-style-twin-pack-719140.html

Apologies, the info display will be different bulbs, smaller, can't see then on Halfords website, never had to buy any of those ones yet, sure someone will know, found some here...…
