"Thank you" from the missus
« on: 17 November 2010, 10:10:23 »

I knew that would get attention! ;D ;D ;D ;D

No, honestly,  her Focus has been driving like a pig for months now with a low-revs mis-fire that had good days and bad.  It had had new plugs and coil pack but there was no ryme or reason to it.

Anyway, she's got a trip to Derby 5-up soon so I gave it a service and risked new plug leads and yet another coil pack.  It was the coil-pack!  It's never going to drive well but the improvement is stunning.  How it knew you were entering a roundabout so's it could mis-fire I will never know!

Anyway.  Lesson to be learned.  Don't buy the "cheaper" option coil-pack.

:P At least you didn`t say your wife asked you to fit her new coil! ;D

.....there`s a lot of pattern (fake) parts about, too; the chap at my local factors says the market is awash with Chinese copies of 'quality-parts' which are difficult to tell from the real thing....except for the fact that they don`t work! :(
