Decision time approaches...
« on: 17 August 2020, 18:23:42 »

TBE is now in its MOT window, so I either decide on a replacement, or present it for its test.

If lockdown had finished, it'd be replaced (due to the LPG availability), but with her still not commuting, its mostly unused.

Will be in the same situation with the daily in a couple of months, I know a few bits that will need doing soon but I think I'll just throw it in for an MOT and see what the result is.... Just in case half of it falls off in a rusty pile of fail when it's up in the air!

from the MOT manual
section 3 Visibility
Field of vision, bonnet catches, condition of the glass, the view to the rear, windscreen wipers and windscreen washer rules and inspection for car and passenger vehicle MOT tests.

"You can remove items such as a sat nav or air fresheners that obstruct the driver’s view of the road. However, make sure you tell the driver."
so it won't be a FAIL this time

Presumably lockdown won't last forever and then you'll want rid of it,so why bother with the M.o.T.? Just bin it and have done with it.I would say M.o.T. it and sell it on but they're worth three parts of nothing so not worth the effort?
