Omega General Help / Re: GM 9129570 with Norma Clip
« on: 27 November 2023, 18:37:50 »
Job Jobbed, second hand part found, thanks for all. Just some comments:

It was GM 9129570 as proposed by grifter, the number was printed to the hose, hose coming from matrix to aux pump. I think this car has Winter Package. I broke the clip when trying to install it back, the white part did not move when plug pushed to its position so I took it avay and tried to bend the plastic bits to see what is the problem, they broke etc. The second hand one went to its place and "click" it was there. Perhaps my old NORMA was not ok anymore. I do not know what the green rings are for I never used them after taking off the hoses. I have plenty of them in my table. If they aid as TB said I have to test it next time.

I tried to understand the mechanism, the white part does not move untill the connector is in the right position, the collar in the aluminium matrix pipe opens slightly those white "aisles" and allows then the movement forward (back if thinking the car direction).

Thanks for replies and sorry for my late response, been busy today (at work, (do you believe me?)).

Above some pictures of the "Clip" I am talking about, same one seen in the link below (NORMA also there).

https://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90557.0

So, the clip is broken, I need the complete hose, yes, but not available anymore. I just would like to find some spare clip to join a rubber hose to it as seen in the link. I did not find a supplier for this.

Any ideas how to go on? So strange place to put any Jubilee there when LH driven car.

Omega General Help / GM 9129570 with Norma Clip
« on: 23 November 2023, 15:50:34 »
Succeeded to destroy the Norma Clip of the longer hose going to heater matrix while installing it after pooling (2001 V6). So, what is official repairing method, mormal jubilee clip is difficult to screw there, original seem to be rare spare. Are thos clips available with any hose to construct it by myself?

........ next project is change of Water Pump (1.6 Benzin), perhaps someone could advice whether it could be chanced without removing the right front wheel. There seems to be enough space for that.

enough space on the older 1.6 petrol lumps (Z16XEP ) but getting to the belt tensioner is easier with wheel and liner off  .not sure about newer models sorry , though taking a wheel off and the liner won't take long  :)

.that said , i just replace water pumps with the timing belt ,while it's all apart ,despite it not being timing belt driven on either 1.6 petrol or 1.7 dirty diesel Z17DTH ,new coolant ,aux belt and grease the aux belt tensioner bearing ,

the skin does grow back on your knuckles eventuay  :P

Thanks dave the builder, Should have been done when I was there changing the timing belt, kit had water pump, too, but I was lazy, I try.

Omega General Help / Re: Valve stem seals
« on: 26 August 2023, 14:04:13 »
I know the earlier 2.6 was prone to stem seals, fixed I believe on the later ones.

No idea on costs, imagine its all labour TBH.

My 2.6 is a real 'Morning Smoker', Engine No. is 08533230, is it earlier or later, 310 000 km behind. Not really consuming oli.

Thanks Enceladus
It was a Finnish Market Place in net. Got them today, seems to be original GM package including those two boxes. They look similar to what I have in my car, those part numbers I do not know as there was not any part numbers in opel.7zap.com.

Omega General Help / Front Brake Kit Spare Part Number

I could buy front brake kit 1515005, 93175466 by 30 euro but not sure if it fits to my 2001 Y26SE

W0L0VBM6911079201

So many possibilities, ambulance police etc. Air cooled, yes, but seem to be various diameters etc., so expensive, don't want to take a risk...

Old case but want to report back, after one year "thinking" decided to change O2 sensors 1 to both bank1 and bank 2. Now they are dancing "in synchronization" as  well as the trims.
So it was as advised here..., thanks a lot! But better to think first before using your money.

Assuming I  have correct numbers really difficult to find. I remeber some years ago rear plates were available from Germany (someone started re-production of them). Don't remember the name of that company but ordered one rear plate from them. Does anybody know whether they produced also front plates.
