Steering wheel audio controls
« on: 06 August 2007, 16:14:02 »

:-? What`s the procedure for removing the audio control switches from the steering wheel. When I press to increase volume it decreases and when I press to decrease volume nowt happens. I assume that the switch is knacked. Any advice would be appreciated.  :)

Disconnect battery and remove steering wheel airbag (two screws from the rear) then everything is pretty obvious!

:y Cheers Mark. Not having tinkered with the steering wheel was a bit dubious regarding airbag and airbag light [smiley=tekst-toppie.gif]

Just in case you're unlucky to be as dopey as I was, the yellow connectors to the airbag squib with 'warning' all over it, they do disconnect by prising the clip up with flatbed screwdriver.

Tis best to leave the car disconected from the Battery for about 5 odd mins to let it discharge itself.

Do you know the way to disconnect the battery ? do it within 15 seconds of turning the ign off and removing the key or you will set your alarm off
