Omega General Help / Water leak--not HBV

Changed hbv but still having water leak problem so ran car and then checked with scuttle off. Found water coming from top heater matrix connection on bulkhead ,took hose off but couldn't see anything obvious so i decided to order new hose from GM ,part no. 9129570 only 2 in the country apparently. Has anyone else heard of these leaking? Can anyone also advise how to re-fit hose with the strange end fitting thanks for help

Returned hopefully faulty HBV to dealers today,most unhelpful ! They said i need to bring car in so they can see if it works in situ- i pointed out its in my drive with no water.
He said best they can do is send it away so i filled in form and ordered another one . He took no money at the time so i'll see what happens! They said without being too shitty that people bring old items back in for change or refund! great ,i've had loads of parts of them owning 5 vauxhalls
I'll see what happens on collection ,i know its only £18 but principle kicks in

I've removed the HBV today ,looking at it all looks new ,as i expect it to be the cause of the leak would i see any signs on HBV?

When i remove the HBV will i be able to see if its leaking.as i said after putting this one in it was fine for a month then possibly after turning temp right down i end up with patch on drive.
So im kind of hoping itis HBV

The new one fitted was from GM but made in china and waqs about £18 which seemed cheapish ,have they been failing really early?

Took 2.6 to Mildenhall pre-70 bangers with no problem,started car for way home and coolant warning came up.
Checked it and was low so topped up, got home and saw patch of oily stuff on drive. Checked this morning and new patch on drive sort of HBV area. I only changed this a month ago surely cant of failed can it? Also its only just started to lose coolant last couple of days what do you all think?

baza i got a thermo from GM and your spot on flange was thinner so after advice on here i duly cut the bolts down

I had a hillman minx in the early 80's and remember stalling in a queue of traffic and having to get out and crank it over in full view of many other "modern" motorists .....embarrassing or what
