Omega General Help / E10
« on: 28 April 2020, 20:49:28 »
Don't know if this has been asked on here, but will the Omega cope without problems with E10 fuel when it comes in or will it be a case of sticking with E5 and paying the extra premium they're on about.

General Discussion Area / Bank holiday
« on: 23 February 2020, 21:19:30 »
I see for this year they are moving the May bank holiday from its traditional Monday to Friday[the 8th] to coincide with and commemorate the 75th anniversary of V-E Day.I wonder will they do something similar in August for V-J Day and the end of WWII?

When it comes to such stuff I'm a complete thicko-ok I'm a complete thicko all round[but at least I'm good at it :D]anyway what if any differences are there between a TV with freeview and one with freeplay? What do you lose/gain from one to the other? If I want to put a TV in my bedroom how do I make it work i.e, how does it get the signal without trailing a co-ax cable from my front room to the bedroom?

It appears the company who own the rights to the name have now got the legislation passed in order to begin building the DMC-12 again. They'll be built in Texas and available in right hand drive form and can be shipped to the UK.Projected price will be $100,000[£75,000] Sadly ::) the PRV V6 engine will not be used :-X instead an as yet un-named 300-500bhp engine will be installed.

The Americans have[apparently on direct order from the president]killed the top general-said to have been second only to the Ayatollah-of Iran. The strike took place in Baghdad and is claimed to have been a "defensive measure" on the part of the Americans.Question now is what will the Iranians do in retaliation? I can't see them just settling for sending a nasty letter to the White House.

Someones new year seems to have gone downhill pretty fast.Where the main road curves past the end of our street there's police tape all over the place.Apparently a car[no longer present on scene]has mounted a 3" kerb crossed 6 to 7ft of pavement taken out a section of 2ft high stone wall-missing a lamppost by a couple of inches-and then travelled about 50ft across the back garden of the end bungalow before fetching up against a brick built shed in the back garden :-X :-X

General Car Chat / Meriva door lock
« on: 25 December 2019, 19:21:17 »
One of my step daughters has a 12 plate MkII Meriva she keeps getting the warning that the o/s rear door is open even though clearly it isn't.[they're the suicide door style]she is on a pretty tight budget and a new lock is £85 upwards, second hand locks for the rear doors for some reason don't seem to be available. If it's a micro switch issue would these be available as a separate item? If so where from? and can the lock be separated easily to fit one? Any help appreciated.
