tomtom and vauxhall vivaro van
« on: 08 July 2007, 20:02:37 »

Hi guys,

I have a question about a tomtom one and a vauxhall vivaro van,   Can you cut the end of the tomtom charger off and hardwire it into the van or has the charger got a voltage stepper built into the end????

Any help would be great cos i dont want to blow my gps up

Hi ,

There is definitely a voltage reg in the wiring.

I can do it for you to wire direct to the battery.

If your interested , then as long as you send me the parts (i will give you a list) , and send em to me , i will do it and then send it back

Matt  ;)

I bought a car charger from ebay (£1.99) for mine, then wired to wires to the from of it where it plugs in the ciggy lighter, then wired these to the battery with a fuse in line, took an hour in total, and cost a total of £3.00, Works a treat, did the same with my mobile and PDA.
