Cars for Sale & wanted / Re: Estate Wanted - Any considered

Same as before, why do you want to buy a car you can't afford to run, and the newest is 12+ years old.

I found this comment to be quite offensive.

I can afford to run one now. I've renovated and ran cars that were over 30 years old.

Still a nice friendly site this.

Cars for Sale & wanted / Estate Wanted - Any considered
« on: 21 October 2018, 18:30:34 »
Hello all.

I'm looking for an estate again. Yes I know I've had lots of different cars but I'd like another Omega please.

Don't say 'Oh no not her again'. ;D

I've had my current estate car for nearly two years now so that's a long time for me.

I'm serious about buying and I've got the cash. :y

Thanks very much. :y

I've got the chance of another Omega from an oof member so I think I'll wait to see what happens with that.

I've looked at so many cars my head is spinning.

I've seen a Beetle for sale near me but the EML comes on intermittently. The price is £400.

Should I avoid buying this car?

Is this an MOT fail? I've heard that the rules are changing in May 2018 & that an illuminated EML light will be a fail?

Many thanks. :y

Thanks very much for that :y

I need answers please. ;D

Would a Ford Galaxy be any good?

Oofers are usually very picky about which cars they would buy and which to avoid.

For example, french cars seem to be frowned upon.
If you find a 15 year old French car that's still running, buy it.

Perhaps Kate should consider an early Bugatti Veyron. A nice French car. :)

I prefer fast cars but thanks for your recommendation. ;D

Would a 2005 VW Passat 2.0 manual petrol estate be any good? 148000 miles, price is £500.

Thanks for the advice. :y

Thanks for the advice :y

I remember years ago when cars were more simple. They were much easier to repair. It's a shame classic cars are so expensive now. I bought a Morris Minor off a oof member once. I wish I still had it.

Do you mean cam belts and other service items?

Thanks :y
