That guy from Friends... Never watched Friends. I'll reserve judgment for now but I had thought Chris Harris was going to be one of the new presenters?

Should be interesting, need to wait until first show is aired before judging the line up.

Well he is a petrol head and holds the fastest celebrity lap of the Top Gear track. For those he gets my vote.

It is shame that we haven't any British stars who could do the job. We seem to fall over ouselves in Britain to give away plum roles to Johnny Foreigner. I suppose it is to draw in the younger audience that do actually know who he is, not old duffers with zimmer frames. An added advantage is that it will help sell the show in the States too and get "their celebs" to come over. He could also act as their translator.

I think Top Gear may be more entertaining with a 'girlie' in the line up.

Obviously there would need to  be restrictions on the cars she would be allowed to  drive.

.....perhaps a sensible limit of 100 BHP could be set.

She has previously been mentioned as a contender... Not sure if she was a definite or a maybe, but perhaps she's too busy with German Top Gear and her day job as touring car driver :-\

He would have been chosen, to help sell the New Top Gear to the Americans.
Top Gear use to be the BBC top selling show, so now they need a new money spinner.
