Omega alloys. .. I have on our car 17 in elite rims which look great . Question.  Can any other 5stud rim fit eg merc/audi rwd as we want to go to 18s and not many vauxhall rims available.

Omega General Help / water around spark plug lead

hi all , got a prob with our v6 omega , drivers side bank rear spark plug lead removed from plug , ... rusty water in the recess around plug , hence miss fire , removed plug , cleaned the lead and dried it out , now works fine, .... is there a core plug /plugs under the cam boxes cheers all.

hi all , driving home tonight the speedo on our facelift v6 just stopped, then the TC ,ABS warning lights come on , after a couple of miles it cleared itself, speedo back to normal warning lights off ......... then back on again . any ideas ? cheers all.

been offered a 51 plate 2.6 v6 elite, my w reg omega 2.5 v6 isnt well , so i may buy the other one , any ideas on the yearly road tax price , will it be the same as my older one ? cheers all , john

Omega General Help / v6 facelift steering problem

hi all , this weekend had a chance to look over the steering problem ...notchy steering , felt lose , just not right , had a good look under neath and found centre steering link ball joints knocking and plenty of movement , also n/s idler arm bush worn , so going to order bits tomorrow and sort it . , also going to change exhaust as its looking a tad rusty at the joints . not bad for a 12 year old motor with 188000 and still going strong , no oil leaks not burning oil, and still goes like a rocket when needed ,

Omega General Help / omega facelift v6 steering issue

need a bit of help here, steering on my migv6 isnt right, going to look it over at the weekend , but had a quick look tonight , it feels very notchy , think thats spelt wrong , but rocking the steering wheel from side to side  holding the road wheel u can feel its not smooth , feels very lose on steering wheel, a lot of play from left to right , too much play over 3 inches before the wheel starts to turn ....... steering box? adustment ? any help please , john .

radio works fine , but cd player has never worked, the 4 disc cassette loads but nothing , is it a code thing , or is it broke ? any ideas, just says on the display CD SAFE.

hi all , not been on here for ages, hope all is well with everyone , still got my lovely migv6 still going strong , new exhaust today , all sorted sounds lovely , done both cam boxes and proper vauxhall rubber gaskets the other week, not bad for 189000 miles . john .

been offered a ccrt2008 from a facelift elite , tried it in my facelift cdx, it worked but we had no display , eg radio station , cd , etc , exchanged them again , as cars were side by side , all worked as they should in there own slot, the elite did have a different screen display which was more comprehensive than my one , ..... would i need that part from the dash aswell as the loom to make the elite player work ..... thanks all

Omega General Help / help ......broken locking wheel nut tool

hi all , went to do a bit of suspension work on the car on last sat, started by undoing the wheels , then , bang , locking wheel nut socket broke, ...its the type that has 3 male lugs that fit into the female part on the stud , , phoned vauxhall they asked if i had a vauxhall card with the code on it as they can order a new one in ...... if not they want £80 per wheel ....yea course they do ......any ideas , cheers all . john .

had this trouble last year , now the weather getting colder and wetter front screen always mists up , changed pollen filter, checked gullies etc they were blocked with crap , cleaned out .even set blower on correct settings .....help....

been offered a ECU from a 3litre v6 is it worth fitting to my 2.5 v6 and will it make any difference in performance , car running fine at the mo , but was wondering about changing it , any advice please , cheers , jon

hi all , my beast is not well , went out tonight , pulled away then felt its not firing on all 6 , quick check when got back home, no water in the oil , not really getting hot on temp, but loads of egg smell, then that cleared , then loads of smoke/ steam from exhaust , then that cleared , just got a feeling its h/gaskets,

Omega General Help / damaged rear door

whilst my omega was parked across the road the other night it was kicked by some drunken toe rag thanks m8 , needed a quote on the rear door , OMG £320 inc all lab/paint , not happy , was thinking about buying another door in silver , fitting that then getting that painted blending it into the rear quarter, any ideas ?

well ive taken it all apart today ,  and re traced all the work on the ;leads , dis pack , wiring connectors, replaced the 6 o rings again on manifold checked every vac pipe and put back together , road test and hey presto its working as it should , wash and clean up , well pleased at the mo , fingers crossed , thank all for the advice .
