Car Horns Won't Shut UP
« on: 01 March 2021, 19:01:54 »

Hi Guys

Is there anyone out there who loves solving electrical problems and can suggest something I could try.

The problem is the horns on my Omega have decided to start blasting for no apparent reason, also when I press the horn button on the steering wheel they don’t stop sounding when I release the button and I’ve already removed the power sounded.

And another weird thing I’ve found, if I remove the ignition key the display unit won’t go out, but the stupid thing is when the horns got stuck on and I pulled the relay to them to shut them up, the display unit worked perfectly ie comes on when the ignition is switched on and switches off when the key is removed.

Anyone got any ideas?

Sounds like a stray wire behind the fusebox or in the steering column :-\

Good luck.
