My MV6 Is on original mv6 shocks and springs at 137k
car rides ok and isnt sagging.. still got rake and put four adults and boot of luggage is still ok
does anyone know the stock ride height of mv6
mine with handbrake on on flat ground measured from ground to centre of arch
front 663mm
rear 674mm
is this rufly right what should they be new mv6 wise?
im in process of replacing all suspension.. wishbones, idler arms, steering links, top mounts, bushes. And im going to fit new shocks and eibach springs.
but im going to fit thicker insulating bushes to SPRINGS try and get eibach spring sitting rufly as std MV6. but obviously they be a tad stiffer which be nice
-
690 rings a bell for standard iirc... Mv6 is - 15(675) and Eibachs - 30(660)... Also should be the same both ends :y
So front is pretty much where it will be with the Eibachs fitted. Thicker spring pads don't exist for the fronts.

Want to sell the MV6 springs?

What year is your MV6, as early ones were not lowered

My mv6 is 2003 facelift so it is on LSC as standard...
And no it should not be same both ends as omega runs a rake

If front sits rufly same thats great.. they do make spacers for front .. just listed for monaro as monaro springs fit omega shocks..
But im making them myself anyways
Rear spacers been made to get rear right with eibachs

They sit level ::) the rake is a visual illusion as a result of a rising waist line ;)
Sills and wheel arch centres are parallel to the ground.
-
Nope theyre raked when handbrake on.. once drive engaged and handbrake of yes its level ....
So in reply to original queation was the numbers i posted the ruff ride height of a stock mv6 .. as i know for definate this is on original mv6 suspension so intruiged to see how much height ifs lost aince new
As ordered eibachs and goning to fit spacers to get car to sit at mv6 height but with eibachs

675mm ie 690 standard minus 15mm ::)
New top mounts would restore most of the front loss as they compress over time...

Thats estate haha

Stop being a dick head.
In your own words, your cars' natural position is basically level.
The saloon pic at the top of that list looks like the car is raked, but actually the ground drops away behind it.
All cars will roll back when the rear is facing down hill. It has the effect of raising the rear end as the weight of the car pulls down the slope against the gearbox/handbrake.
Also saloon and estate chassis are identical to the centre line of the rear wheels, so what is true for one is also true for another.
When it left the factory, regardless of suspension/model specs, thefront and rear scissor jack points are exactly the same height off the ground.
This is because the bottom of the sill is parallel to the ground.
-
Ive measured my car on level ground rear is higher with handbrake applied..
Cant argue with that
Once is drive car goes level..
Why people go of on tagent on thjs forum is beyond me my question was .. what is stock height for mv6 thats it
So i can see how much height ive lost as on original MV6 suspension
If no one knows thats fine nkt arsed about all this other crap people leep spouting
