General Discussion Area / Faux pas
« on: 31 January 2015, 19:57:56 »
There's got to be a few to tell on here.. After all, its Saturday night and like a bunch of social lepers were on here.

Got a few, so i will start with an old one.

Years ago as a youth meeting new people at a party, a lass had her legs stretched out over the only settee in the room.

Asked the cheeky mere to budge up, only to spot the wheelchair in the corner of the room seconds later..

The dustmen pinched my spare recycling bins that i used due to the Christmas build up and im most upset.

Considered parking my car in the council house reception, then again, maybe not.

General Discussion Area / Indoor mobile phone signal.

Over the last few months i have been insulating the house using pir foam insulation which is backed with silver foil.

House is warmer, downside i think, is the poorer network signal. All the network sims i have tried generally give the same result.

Any remedies you know of??

A few questions..

Its Christmas and everyone and there dog are flogging sat nav with " updates from £99". Google do it for free.

When using Google maps, how does it know where the traffic congestion is to mark it in red?

If you Google "Google" will the internet crash?

Any one got a good supplier contact for this kind of stuff.

Fitted some under Cabinet lighting from screwfix which wasnt exactly cheap. egay full of the stuff but i suspect low life and quality.

Seems a minefield, high price doesn't necessary seem to be quality.

Omega General Help / replacement parts

Some things are better GM, other stuff ,aftermarket will do.

Couldnt bring myself to spend £26+vat on a track rod end, but quite happy to go middle of the road.

Local gsf clowns done my box in so have gone with these.

Been fitting these bits for a while and seem quite good so far, keeping the paperwork for to see if they last the warranty period.

nice exploded diagrams available with part numbers too.
