Yep, heat setting on full helps get you home when the hbv throws a wobbly.

Battery terminal is another gremlin , but only needs doing once.

4x4 s are essential for every mum on a school run as it greatly assists bumping up the kerb to park on the path as close to the school gate as possible.

New cars (last ten years) are rubbish.
Audi a2 , owner goes on holiday for a month and comes back to a flat battery. only the the front door will open. Battery in the the boot. No connection point under the bonnet i could see. Climb into the back, fold down the seats, empty the ample contents of the boot, lift up the carpet and jump leads thru the rear window. Might of missed an AA trick. what a ball ache.

I cant use an auto darkening helmet, ( maybe an old/cheap one ) the time delay is too much. the old fashioned flip down once correctly set up is spot on.

The clark welders are quite good. Ive had two in the past. Occasional use it'll be fine.

Did the car come with a manual.

Some vehicles ive driven, the "save the world mode" can be turned off.

By the sound of it you have damaged the magnetic ring in the bearing (looks and feels like fridge magnet material)

Had this on a subaru. two new bearing fitted by previous garage. Hooking up the sensors to a silly scope showed segments missing creating the fault.

Isnt vehicle tax expensive for big engines over there?

Ratchet strap or similar thru the wheel spoke attached to something substantial is another way of adjusting the camber with the weight of the vehicle pressing down.
Them air wedges look useful .
