Today free from job.. :)

The parts I've ordered are ready, time for service and watch..

As most of the jobs require more than 1 man and a hydraulic press..

Changed bushes of the rear 3-4 couples, also  right rear shock, brake

schalter switch, fuel pressure regulator ..

And here are the scenes from the opel service..

I stay mostly lazy, picture them, only cleaned ABS sensors and help to lift and fit some parts.. ;D

And pay the bills ..  Nearly 260 £  :'(

and the friendly really fast mechanic Osman

a new mega at 40 K miles  :o was in really good condition and used as a military service manager car..

and a poor condition omega

Wheres the fuel pressure regulator ?  Any pics?

I have no problem with fog lights used in accordance with the highway code:

Quote
You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236).

The sad thing is, most motorists switch their fog lights on at the slightest hint of fog or rain, or even darkness, when vis. is still 1/2 a mile or more, and then leave them on. In this case they are counter productive, especially as they are normally now integrated into the light cluster with the brake lights rather than separated horizontally and vertically from them.

I use them on the occasions when it is so poor that I am worried about someone coming up behind me and not seeing my tail lights in time and I turn them off when someone is established behind me at a safe distance and speed, so they notice my brake lights. I certainly haven't used the rear fogs on the Omega since I've had it (a year) so this doesn't happen that often.

I don't see it as a problem to turn them on and off as required. We do the same with the main beams and indicators, after all.

To answer cem, our traffic lights are always active, day and night. I hate to think what would happen if they weren't. :o

Kevin

Exactly right - you do not have to be driving too close for rear fogs to be an issue!

Well foggy today - hate

Motorists who drive on sidelights or no lights at all - saw both this morning
Tw8ts who keep their rear fogs on when your just behind them - seems like about 60% of motorists are tw8ts!
Idiots that drive at 2mph and keep braking when its safe to drive somewhat faster

Feel better now i've had my moan :y

I must be a Tw*t then, cos when its foggy i have my fogs ON..........BE SEEN, not rear ended. I dont turn off my fogs when cars approach from the rear,  ;) if you turned them off everytime a vehicle approached you would be forever pressing the button.

Rear fog lights cause more problems than they solve... all they do is mask the brake lights and create loads of glare >:(

If people can't see you with your headlights/tail lights on, then they're probably going to hit a wall/tree/other non-illuminated object anyway. I'd be quite happy to have NO fog lights on any cars, maybe that way people will drive a little more appropriately to the conditions. They seem to get by just fine without them in Japan, the US, and countless other countries.

Exactly right, but its not the fog lights that are the problem its the dippys that dont drive according to road conditions.

That's exactly right!

dont know if any of you ever look at the hbc canvey website.it is an auction site where insurance cat.c/d cars are sold.they have depots in canvey island/nottingham/teeside. i often look at the canvey section because its in my neck of the woods and there are several omegas in there at the moment. one of them is a 2.5 reflection and from the photos on the site the only thing visibly amiss is a flat tyre. for people who like cars(and bikes) it is a very interesting site to have a browse at .

Link plse?

Hmm. He talks about a supercharger then doesn't show any engine bay pictures ::)

.. and if he can't sort out a brake pad sensor is he likely to have supercharged it? :-/

Kevin

Thought the same - emailed him asking him to put up pics showing engine including blower installation + make of blower.  A blower should increase power on a 200bhp engine by more than 35bhp!

Got a reply - "cant till wednesday away from car sorry thanks

- daffy4716"

Also noted from his feedback that he recently bought one of those so called electric "superchargers" - "This auction is for an elctric supercharger it is a high spec model in turbo style design and high power motor which makes it a bit more powerfull than the inline version that i also sell" - guess he fitted this to the MV6!!

Will see if pics available Wednesday.
