Took the newly rebuilt and now insured french contraption for a drive this morning and all was well.Drove it to work this evening and engine bay as dry as a bone when I got here, so it looks like its back to full working order - for the moment. Shall fill it with diesel tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed.
