Some more facelift parts fitted
« on: 24 June 2011, 22:17:56 »

Not long ago I replaced my rear bumper with one from a facelift (thanks to RobG  :y) and recently I also replaced my sill covers, door mouldings and wing mirrors for Elite facelift parts in the same colour (thanks to Joff  :y), so thought i'd share some pictures.

Sorry they're not taken in sequence and the car is filthy but you get the idea  :)

And with sill covers and wing mirrors fitted;

Other side almost there;

Jobs a good'un

More pics to follow once he's had a wash and polish :-[

Now I just need to decide what to do with the front. My thoughts at the moment are keep it mini facelift but colour code the black bits and remove the chrome. Opinions welcome  :y

Looking good mate! I agree with you, try colour coding the black bit and removing the chrome and see if it ties in ok. I personally prefer the prefacelift front bumper to the standard F/L one!  :y

If it goes pete tong, I have a good F/L MV6 bumper here that's looking for a new home!  8-)

I'll be watching with interest, plan on doing the same with mine,
looks good and I agree with Twiglet about the pfl bumper , looks better than the fl one.

That was quick you only picked them up last week, were the holes in the door being a late m/f/l or did you have to drill them. Looking good. ;) :y

Like the Rims. What O.Z racing ones are they? What size?

Welcome to the 'Pre-facelift looks really nice with Facelift parts' section of OOF. :y :y :y

Good work Terry.

I too have to get around to fitting the F/L rear bumper and colour code the front (I too prefer the earlier front).  It doesn't look like an overweight Astra G.  ;D

Hahaha! Cheers guys  :y

The wheels are OZ superleggra's I think. I'm not really keen on them to be honest they were just up for sale when I desperately needed some new tyres. I'm keeping an eye out for some nice 17's or 18's, possibly vx wheels.

I'm really in two minds about the facelift and pre facelift front ends, so i'll have a go at colour coding the front and see what I think. I think the pre FL front end looks a lot 'meaner'...

Joff, thanks for the parts they were all in good nick and those spare clips came in handy  :y The FL holes weren't in my doors so I adopted my own technique of fitting them which differs quite a lot from the guide on here  :)
