can anyone explain why i have a wire coming from my tax disk holder, is it an anti-theft device :-?

Possibly aftermarket phone kit, and tax disk is aerial for phone...

Could be you are a secretly nominated trialist of the Goverments new highly secret veichle tracking device ! And the wire is a VERY SECRET ariel transmitting your where abouts, speed etc to secret HQ !

i used to work for a firm and the tax disc holder was the aeriel for the tracker????
so if you nick a van rip tax disc holder out and voila, we just pricked ours with pins  ;D

Definitely phone arial. Vodafone fit these to all of our company cars.
