The former Mrs 944 had it on her yeti, it worked well, unless disturbed mid-manoeuvre by another car, in which case it freaked out and gave up.
I agree that it works ok if you have time to use it.
Mine does bay park and parallel park but when you use parallel park it turns in at an alarmingly steep rake (front bumper too close to the car in front for my liking
). Effectively, the car can park in a smaller gap than I can.
Also, on parallel park, as it uses the sensors to see the car in front and behind, if the car in front and behind are ridiculously close to the kerb, or up the kerb, that's where you'll end up.
I like my alloys with no scratches on so I'll do the steering when parking. I filed it under 'I tried it, I didn't like it so I won't use it'.
Auto bay parking is straightforward, until you come across those annoying square/diamond shape kerbs in car parks that they insist on putting between every tenth parking space. Then, the bumper sensor has already gone past the kerb when the alloy scrapes along it.
Incidentally, I've never done that but have seen people that have.
