Too slow
« on: 08 March 2007, 22:35:40 »

Why does my 2.2 feel slower than the 1.8 Zafira I took out today with 6 passengers?

It sat at 4000 rpm at 75mph and pulled well up hill.  Felt like it had more torques to me  :(

And before you V6 bullies start shouting about cylinders - they are both 4 pots!

As MaxV6 says, its power to weight ratio. However in an accident, I know which car I'd rather be in. :) :) There's some 'meat' there to be mangled before me.

It had an extra 60 stone of humans in it! and Omega's only NCAP3 - I think Zaf is 4.  And I don't fancy having the meat in front of me mangled in an accident either  :o

a small Ncap 4 is not as safe as a large Ncap 3

I couldn't agree more Martin.  My wife has a Meriva (4) and I drive it very carefully - engine bay is only 2ft long!
