Rolling road, prediction was on the nonse!
« on: 23 January 2010, 10:34:46 »

Took one of my cars to the rolling road, at random, just to see what power output she had,  it was a thames valley police 3.2i automatic, went like the clappers, some are chipped to 225 on a police programme in the ecu, normaly though, they are 211 standard police spec.
Took this 2001 51 with 130k on the clock and a full history, to the rolling road.

On the form, it asks for your predicted bhp, i put 211.
it got 211.0 spot on, most people elaborate with their subarus, so they where amazed it was on the nonse!

heres some pics,  run 2 and 3 achieved 211.4bhp

we had a rolling road day in 2008, seem to remember 218bhp from the 3x 3.2s present that day. But my memory is crap and a differant dyno may read it differantly?

Different dyno's will always give very slightly different results, and power output from any engine varies very slightly with temperature and humidity, so 7 bhp is well within the range of error I would expect.

That shows very nicely what a flat torque delivery the V6 has
