Argh, zip files....
« on: 10 October 2009, 15:05:11 »

Hi,

I'm crap with computers but can normally get by, However I cannot open Zip files on my home computer, never have been abe to!

Vista premium is what it's running which I hate.

I have been sent some music which is in a ZIP file but I cant get the bugger to open and play.

Any straightforward advice greatly appreciated

Vista by default can only extract basic zip files.  WinRAR and WinZIP mentioned above are commercial software with trial versions. 7-Zip is a usable freeware tool

Cheers for the advice but I think I may have bigger problems.

Won't download anything at all now. Just shows as verifying for time evermore. It's going through the window very very soon  >:(

I take it you are actually downloading (saving) the file to disk and then opening it?
