General Car Chat / Corsa wont start

Hi all help wanted for my mates daughters non starting corsa, its a 2007 and was parked on the drive last week before they went on holiday. Returned today turns over but wont fire up, spanner light through engine flashing. Would this be imobiliser issues.

General Discussion Area / 2nd car insurance question.

Have recently purchased a little 1.2 Fiesta with regards to giving it to my lad when he turns seventeen next March, of coarse assuming he passes his test. Bought it for peanuts and got it slightly early so as to play around with it and sort out any issues it might have. Now it has crossed my mind that once i put a new MOT on it i could use to and from work thus cutting down on my fuel costs. Now my question is to insurance, as yet i have,nt rang my company to find out how much more they would want to add a second car on my policy but then i thought what if i registered the car in the wifes name then could i use my comprehensive Omega insurance to drive her car. I Am able to drive other vehicles with the owners consent and so am I right to assume that it would be legal. Again this would purely be another way to keep cost down.
The wife does not drive or have ownership of any other vehicle so is this also legal for her to own the car.

Hi Oofers just got back from my hoilibobs in sun kissed Spain, and during my time away I was always on the Omega/Opel alert. I started my travels from Bristol to Stansted and spotted the huge sum of ZERO Omegas 
. But that changed whilst in Peniscola I spotted not 1 nor 2 not even 3 but a total of FIVE, the last being a nice 3.2 Mv6. Sadly we are all aware of the Omegas decline in the Uk but in Spain it would seem the mighty Omega/Opel lives on.

So what did all the OOF Dads get for there fathers day then??. Breakfast in bed? Dinner and a pint later on? Car washed?
Or did you get what we always get not much. As for me yes I got the obligatory card but I still ended up cutting the lawn and doing the dinner. A Dads work is never done.

Seen the advert many a time on Tv about downloading the Aviva car insurance app, so for a giggle decided to give it ago. 2OO miles in and my score comes up and tells me that its 9 out of 10, not bad me thinks so i will go ahead and get a quote. My marks to Aviva out of 10 are ZERO £749 with a 20% discount no less. Taking the urine or what. Anyone else had this wonderful experience.
