Spotted that last night.

Pity the seller couldn't add a bit more to the description, would need to know cambelt history and see recent pictures as advert states 110K but speedo in picture shows 91K

If I were trying to sell that, it would have a 12 month ticket, not 1 month.

If I were thinking of buying it I would insist on it having an MOT before parting with a penny, something to discuss with the seller along with other questions ..

there is nothing on this car that doesnt work as if it were new

The self levelling rear suspension looks a little suspect.  :-X

My problem: I have an MV6 3,2. Same colour. Same year. Slightly less miles at 96K. A few dings and things, but not too bad. I love it. At some stage however something could go wrong. As I don't DIY, "something wrong" can mean scrapyard (my last 2 Omegas for example). This is almost worth considering as a stand-by (Shock/Horror   :o  )

I browsed some Mondeo estates earlier today . . . . . .

EDIT
I notice that this has an NCDC2013 CD/Radio unit. I know the NDC2006. What's the difference ? Will the CD cassettes from 2006 work with 2013 ?

I concur with Al.

The Mondeo is a decent car, compared to, say the Vectra, Avensis, Accord et al.

A comparison to the Omega, it is not.

I know a few people running the current one, and even the newest 13 plate one has spent too much time in the garage with fueling/electrical issues...

On that list, as soulless transport, the Avensis is a good shout :y

I really respect Al's opinion, fact remains - old cars break down more. Y'know what ? This car is in Cumbria. The likelihood of me actually going to see it is pretty remote . . . . . . unless I just buy it as a spare  ;D Yeah right

Excluding accident recovery, my ex plod Omega has been recovered less times than my brand new Seat Altea needed to be...

I checked the mileage with him, it reads 90k but has done 110, due speedo replacement. :y

Replaced my speedo/clocks today as it happens. Speedo and Rev counter needles stopped working. All other functions normal.

...so it does happen. Luckily only 1000 miles differance in readings between Original and  replacememt in my case.

Not until fitted and working on a test drive did one of dash bulbs blow on the new dash though. Arse! ;D

Wasn't it posted a few months ago? mileages now inconsistent with those mentioned then... Massive discrepancy with the Mot mileages iirc :-\
