I concur with Al.

The Mondeo is a decent car, compared to, say the Vectra, Avensis, Accord et al.

A comparison to the Omega, it is not.

I really respect Al's opinion, fact remains - old cars break down more. Y'know what ? This car is in Cumbria. The likelihood of me actually going to see it is pretty remote . . . . . . unless I just buy it as a spare  ;D Yeah right
Excluding accident recovery, my ex plod Omega has been recovered less times than my brand new Seat Altea needed to be...

I checked the mileage with him, it reads 90k but has done 110, due speedo replacement. :y

Replaced my speedo/clocks today as it happens. Speedo and Rev counter needles stopped working. All other functions normal.

...so it does happen. Luckily only 1000 miles differance in readings between Original and  replacememt in my case.

Not until fitted and working on a test drive did one of dash bulbs blow on the new dash though. Arse! ;D

Wasn't it posted a few months ago? mileages now inconsistent with those mentioned then... Massive discrepancy with the Mot mileages iirc :-\
