Omega General Help / Supercharger
« on: 17 November 2009, 23:46:56 »
Hi everyone,
i'm considering placing a supercharger in my miggy, has anyone already done it here?

I've been searching the forum, but I didn't found any supercharged V6 miggy here.

Perhaps some of you already tried to make a supercharged V6 here?

I'm gonna make some soft supercharging, (about 5 PSI) to avoid expensive modifications of engine. I will probably use eaton m62.

If anyone has some experience with superchargers please contact me :)

So, this is me and my Omega

It has 3.0 v6 engine and the manual gearbox - which is very important for me... Here in Poland such versions were only available for special request (and 3.2 v6 weren't available with manual gearbox at all).

The car has Irmscher bodykit, it makes the car look awesome and unigue. People often don't even recognize, that it is Omega...

That's how it looked when i bought it (few months ago):

Below is my old and new Omega... The old one is already sold, but i moved the wheels from it to the new one :)

Now most importat modifiactions:

Inreasing compression, changing all the engine gaskets

Installing H&R lowering springs and Bilstein shock absorbers

workshop :)

it's lower, than i supposed...

Another  modification - polishing of the plenum

So this is my Omega

In few days i'm making another modification - limited slip differential, i'm gonna have a lot of fun :)

So, the first modification i made recently is limited slip differential!  :)

i changed this:

to this:

i've installed the original 45% lsd from the omega b non fl

and here are the effects  ;D

and some videos - sorry for the quality - just cellphones

Another modifiaction is an air resonator (as mantzel's one), gives some HP and Nm

And last mod - making the nivo to work properly with lowering springs - after small modification of the sensor everything's fine now - the nivo doesn't pump the absorbers so much, as there were normal springs

I hope you like it :)

Omega Gallery / the look... of the engine
« on: 15 September 2008, 02:27:25 »
My friend (alfa 156 gta owner) looked under my hood, and told me, that the look of the opel's v6 engine is awful...
And if you know how alfa's v6 egnine looks, you've got to say, he is right :/

Well, i decided to do something about it, to make my engine look better ::)

I've polished the first thing, that you can see after opening the hood - i don't know the exact english name for it - you call it the intake collector?

Here are some picts:

The first thing was to remove the paint

Then i had to make the surface flat and plain - it took me few hours!

it was few hours of hard work

really hard work...

The last thing was polishing with special polishing paste and polishing felt mounted on the drill

Satisfied with the final effect i have polished the EGR too :)

Now the collector is fully 'first stage' polished - so it's shiny, but its not like a mirror yet...

Below you can find pictures of the collector mounted on the engine.

Note: my english isn't perfect, if i make any mistakes or you can't undrestand me, tell me about it, please  :)
