Well we had to let Portsmouth know we had been :y. All done in good faith though, was such a lovely day and great company shame it had to come to an end.

This prefacelift MV6 bug has hit me now as i have just brought one which i plan to keep...

Okay the bug is worse as i have also brought a 56,000 mile FVSH prefacelift 3.0 Elite.... to keep the MV6 company of course :y

no kids for us so me and the mrs visited gun wharf keys pictured at the top, sat on the front under the spinnaker with a view of the harbour entrance. Fascinating, loads of history, you can make out the victorys mast behind the white building left of the tower, and navy war ships left of that.


Really was a great day, such a lovely atmosphere in the warm weather, smiley people, shops for the Mrs, pizza and bear and a view like this.You could see up to the first floor of the spinnaker, and the glass floor built into it. Most amusing as toddlers wander accross it staring straight down no problem, and the odd adult having a heart attack when not looking where theyre going.  ;D

Never saw the lift move all day, was looking out for it as i wanted to go up.... ::)

only down side, with a location like that, never going to be cheap.  :'( We visited last year and The Chelsea owners Yacht was blocking the view.... >:(    ;D


Anyway, good fun and nice to meat up... :y

My day started at 6am, and consisted of changing front shocks, wishbones, & droplinks (both sides of course).
Took me 4½ hours as I didn't have the advantage of a workshop at my disposal, but I'm sure there will be another day.

S'allright Nick, I consoled myself with the fact that I did the whole lot for £212 all in, and that included genuine Vx shocks with Delphi/Lockheed wishbones & droplinks......nobody is doing the job at that price, even with a TC card ;)
