This is an issue for at least a year now, but there were many other things to do. Vibrations occure when accelerating on motorway in 3rd mostly and when breaking from motorway speed.
Discs and pads are new - all corners, new drop links. I believe front suspension arms are still original, could there be so much play in those when under stress? There's no obvious play in wheells.
Before I take those off and ruin the alignment - front ones or rear ones?
Thanks, Stan

Good Vibrations was a great Beach Boys number :y
As for your query; I'll let the experts on here answer that! :D :y

Vibration through the steering wheel or through the seat?
-
Trough the steering wheell...and those aren't good vibrations ;D

I've been thinking about fitting these instead of powerflex....half the price and can reuse wishbone
-
Double check the amount of play in the front wishbone forward bushes, as that can lead to a "warped disc" type sensation under braking, and a wheel balance type sensation at differing, random speeds.
-
I will, but yes, It does feel like the discs are warped although they ere brand new
-
If you drive like me, you'll soon "warp" many pattern discs. I know I did.
But a warped disc will always be there, not intermittent.
-
Also, check the wheels are round, and not buckled, on both outer and inner rim.
-
New tires fitted in spring, still like new, no sign of wear...Suspension arms are only things that comes to my mind
-
I like spirited drive yes...to answer question from before but I doubt 2.5 can put serious stress like your 3.0 can
-
Any slight warping of the discs will be partly hidden in feeling at low speeds due to the floating caliper design but will show up more at higher speeds. My omega had new discs on it when i bought it and drove around town fine. First time coming down a dual carriageway maintaining 50 for speed camera the car shuddered badly on appliying brakes. No obvious vibration on acceleration thou. New front discs cured it.if your not 100 % its discs and maybee wheels just try swapping them front to back.in theory even if bushes were worn they shouldnt cause a judder but will make any imbalance more noticeable.
-
my warped new discs problem (judder on braking) has gone away, it gradually disappeared while i restricted myself to gentle braking. i concluded that a previous very sudden brake application had unevenly worn the disc and over time the wear evened out.
a few things on the mig seem to fix themselves eg intermittent dash bulb problem has now gone completely. I hope.

A (genuinely) deformed disc will never right itself under even gentle driving. Skim or bin.

Check they are not out of shape.
I bought two new tyres for the rear of my Omega once and soon after started getting a vibration from the rear. It felt like the propshaft was out of balance, but the tyres had a almost un-noticable flat spot. ;)
