Just watched the second in the new series....Toyota supra from the 80’s. A surprising fact, to me, was that the straight six produced 145bhp and made 60 in about 10 seconds. Weaker and slower than my diesel astra, yet was considered very fast in it’s day.

Yes when it comes to power/speed and even fuel consumption such things have to be taken in the context of the time and the opposition it faced.

Saw it as well , always liked the Supra next weeks one should be good Ford Mustang 😀

Loved that Mustang Mach 1 , always wanted one of those in the seventies had to make do with a Granada 3.0 Ghia.

SWMBO watched the Mustang episode this morning with me as I was wittering on about wishing I had one she said get shot of the Merc then ! Now there's a thought wouldn't get an old one though , one of the new 5.0 ones would suit just fine.

It wasn`t until the MKII came out that it got really quick ;)
