Title: Halfords' air con sealant
Post by: Bigron on 05 May 2018, 09:49:18
Whilst collecting my bargain £6 screwdriver set from Halfords, I had a nosey around the store and came across a sealant can (aerosol?) claiming to seal leaks in the condenser/radiator and all seals, etc.
Snake oil?
Has anyone had experience of this product, because it seems to be too good to be true - and you know the rest of that phrase! :-\

Ron.

I'd imagine that it could have a similar effect to putting K-Seal or Rad-Weld in the coolant.  ie it could clog up the condenser.  :-\

None of the DIY air con products are anything other than snake oil IMHO.
