Omega General Help / Re: Rear driveshaft bolts.
« on: 02 August 2018, 11:15:18 »
Ahh that is a relief, I shall reuse them with a lot of threadlock. Thanks very much for your help & info guys :y
I hope all is well within the diff when I have look. We had a slight issue with the car before we found this leak. Sometimes when driving we'd feel a bump, felt like from more to the rear of car, you know like it was slipping in drive then a bump felt and then driving normal again.
Any ideas on this?
I don't think it's from the engine as feels more from front seats to the rear.

Omega General Help / Rear driveshaft bolts.
« on: 30 July 2018, 19:40:05 »
Hi all,
Another Greenhorn her to this forum. I'm hoping you can give us a hand on this query I have (not a slap  ;)). I have an omega 2.2 16v estate auto 2003. Need to remove the the rear diff for inspection, also as the driveshaft and prop pinion oil seals are leaking/gone. So need to replace them. I just wanted to ask if I have to replace the rear driveshaft to hub bolts with new ones, think 6 each side?
As went to Vauxhall and they said don't stock them anymore, typically.
Are there bolts from a similar Vauxhall that would work?
While I'm asking this question are there any other bolts that should be replace with new, when removing the diff, e.g prop bolts etc?

Many thanks if you can help chaps  :y
