Omega General Help / Aircon regassed at Kwik fit

Has it done sunday.  When he released the hoses the lttle ball valve got stuck and whilst the guy went to fetch a little screw driver to dislodge it, it was hissing out gas.  Now; it is colder but I dont think as cold as what it should be.  Any advice? Or if I take it back are thay just guna fob me off

I've read, with some interest, various posts about updating the software on the 'box ecu. Thing is, not sire where to go to get it done. I'm pretty sure my local dealer(s) would fob me off or not know enough about them to do it. Failing that, is there anyone from here who has the know how??

Omega General Help / 2.6 omega spec against vec gsi spec

Wonder if anyone can help.  The 2.6 in the omega is rated the same power as the 2.6 Gsi (or so it would seem) where as the 2.6 SRi vec is lower.  From what I remember when I had my 2.6 Gsi, they had had 3.0 (omega) exhaust cams in to get the higher power over the SRi 2.6. Can anyone confirm or deny this please?
So basicly what I'm asking is (I think) is the power output of a 2.6 omega about 178 or so?

Was working now just clicks, so I'm guessing the motors stuck/buggered.  Is it correct that the whole parcel shelf along with the rear seat base and sides have to be removed?

Omega General Help / "DISPLAY SAFE" on CID

I went to look at an Omega with an NCDC2013(?).  When I switched the ignition on the screen was like broken lines. I tapped it at the top of the dash and it came on properly only with the above msg displayed. I started the car and then the screen came to life with all the info but then went back to that message.  Could this possibly be poor connections?
