Cars for Sale & wanted / Omega MV6 3.0 Manual Mini facelift

As per the title, my Omega MV6. Been off the road for past 6 or so years. Seen better days but plenty of good parts. Engine will fire up first time with a battery, gearbox was all fine. Has FK coilovers on it aswell. Cloth interior (bit grubby from sitting!). Front bumper/Headlights are off it (not 100% on where I've put them lol). Roughly 120k on it. Was a load of work done before it came off the road including wishbones, rear subframe bushes, cam belt etc etc. Located in Glasgow and would need trailered.

Basically looking for someone who will make me an offer to take it away this week as I need the space, otherwise she will most likely just be scraped as she is. My intention was to strip her but just havent got the time or space just now, will be very sad to see her go.

With a heavy heart ive had to come to the decision to break the big mig. Shes sat for a while untouched and ive never found the time to get back to her.

Pretty standard MV6 apart from the tinted windows and FK coilovers. Had load of work done to it before being taken off road...all rear subframe and donut bushes, wish bones, cam belt, new tyres and much more! Xenon headlights currently stripped with metal adjusters to go in. Cloth interior not leather.





Open to offers on the complete car also.

Hardly on here anymore, but just checking through the for sale sections at all the lovely things I've missed out on! haha Most recently being Jim's MV6 that i tried to buy a few years ago for more than double that figure as its less than 5 mins away from me!

As titled  money and space dictates i just cant keep her sitting any longer, been saving her from the crusher for aslong as i can but think im finally going to have to give her up...itll be a sad day!

Has all the usual MV6 features youd expect, but also have coilovers, facelift bumpstrips, cruise control set up and few other extras... just a feeler really for anyone that might want anything to voice up before i weigh her in.

Omega General Help / Electrical problem

Didnt know if it was common or not, so i thought id ask incase...

Last week the fuse for my PAS blew... fair enough, changed it and all seemed well. A few days ago my airbag light came on driving to work  :-/ then today on the way home, sittin at traffic lights and the PAS blew again, although this time it was a bit different, all electrics reset themselves (cd player, clock etc).... :-?

Tried another fuse in the PAS slot, switched ignition on and it blew straight away.

Is this a common fault or am i going to have to actually do some work?

Omega General Help / Water leak

Noticed over past few weeks the water level has been dropping slowly when the MV6 has been run. Decided to do a bit of investigation and noticed that the bottom front of the engine looked wet.

Today i stripped it down to the cam belt to check the water pump (in the snow might i add! :-?) but couldnt see any water marks around the pump itself - looks to be comming from lower down?  :-/

Anyone any ideas or common places for water to come out of? The water pump was changed along with the cam belt not too long ago, so that was my first thought, but i couldnt see any noticeable water around it

Somehow managed to snap it off today, and my mind isnt working as to what it is... so asking you gurus so i can replace what ive broken lol

Its infront of the engine, bottom right hand side, and connects to the metal pipework that is there... what is it?

Bottom right of the V6 engine - im think im right in saying this is the climate control pump?

Is it supposed to turn freely?... mines doesnt seem to turn much, if at all, whilst the car is running... i moved it fine with a screwdriver so im guessing it isnt stuck?  :-/

Omega General Help / Problem with heating

Ive got a problem with my blowers only blowing luke warm heat rather than the usual eye burning heat it used to.

The passenger side dash vent and foot vent seem to put out good heat, but every other vent is barely warm?  :-/ I've re-bled the system but still no change

Also, i dont think my climate pump is working correctly, it doesnt look to be spinning very well when the car is on and im sure its causing my aux belt to squeek.

Anyone encountered this before?

Omega General Help / Tensioner noise?

I had a bit of tensioner noise (or thats what it sounds like anyway) and found that the aux belt tensioner had dried out, so i repacked it was quite for a while, until the car heated up and a noise "squeeling" appeared  :-/

Ordered a new aux belt tensioner and fitted that today, staerted the car up and all was quiet again - until the car heated up, same noise came back... now im pretty sure its not the tensioner, but whatever it is its going in time with the engine.

Also just changed the timing belt and tensioners(GM parts), and tbh it sounds like its comming from top left hand side - where the tensioner for the timing belt sits!

Wee bit of background info - also fitted new water pump (think it was a circoli brand?), and my crankshaft pully looks a bit "odd" i.e. the outer ring doesnt appear to be level anymore.

Once the noise start, it doesnt go away, despite how hot or cold the engine is, from first thing in the morning until im home at night.

Anyone any clues on what it could be? Would it be worth pulling it all apart again and checking that timing belt tensioner?

Just foud it strange that it dissapears whenever i strip it down, but as soon as it gets back up to temp it starts again.

P.S. my cam covers are also leaking again (my own fault for buying ebay ones), possibly contamination from the leak?  :-/

Omega General Help / A Few Problems

Having a few problems with the mig over the past day or 2.

1. The handbrake light keeps dimly flashing/staying on when im driving but the handbrake handle is fully down. Im going to check the switch but asking incase its a common thing that i dont know about 

2. My heaters dont seem very warm. They used to burn my eyeballs out when it was set to HI, now its just luke warm air thats comming through  :-/ the coolant was recently changed, engine temp sits fine at 95ish... any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Omega General Help / Codes 59 and 133

Got these flagging up on the car but its still running fine?  :-/

All wiring for the inlet manifold is plugged in, but EML is still flickering away whilst the engine is running.

Due in for MOT on tuesday morning so need it sorted it before then, anyone any ideas as to why it'd be flaggin up if the wiring is fine?
