I've just done a manual conversion on my Elite TD, so it's doable but expect simple things such as bleeding the clutch to take longer than expected.
I am very happy with the outcome but think I might of bought a dud flywheel so, it's box off again!  >:(
I'm getting and extra 8 or 9 mpg and it shifts much better throughout the rev range.
You need to remember to join the 2 x black/red wires in the middle multi plug (bottom half) to trick the ecu in to thinking its in N or P.

Good luck!  :y

Annoyed any neighbours? Fly/moth? Anything hanging from the rear view mirror? Dust on the sensors?

You can also do it underneath but then it turns in to a PITA.
For some daft reason I always do them from under the car (I've mastered it now though LOL).

Make sure you replace the inlet gasket on refitting.

You could do with checking your gear linkage for wear too.  :y

Let the needle move off _ before any right foot action mate or you'll wear the engine out fast.

Get them ultrasonic cleaned, best way to do it IMO. Whats to say the 'new' injectors wont go like that in a few months?
Redex and alike don't always clear up dirty injectors. How deep did the car get?

I am absolutely shocked at Omega gearboxes, I think now mileages are rising, they are proving that they do not last at all!

How many failures have we seen recently?

Maybe due to poor maintenance?

In a nut shell  :y
