Costco are selling Michelin  for £116-?? The price seems to be coming down.  

Michelins would be a reasonbale tyre if they were half the price......they certainly are not worth the price tag on them.

I just bought 4 Michelins 225/55x16 from ATS for roughly the same (I haggled and mentioned the Costco price), they are OK I suppose though the Contis I had before felt a bit sportier. Said that, I am happy with the Michelins, I don't push the car to the limits and I reckon they'll do the job.

A bit of 'agression' seems to help the Michelins, else they seem to 'glaze' over, reducing grip.

Mrs TheBoy had hassle renewing her insurance a couple of weeks back.  It was the day before it was due, and she wanted to cancel the breakdown cover part. "Sorry, Mrs TB, but you cannot make changes once the policy has started". "But it doesn't start until midnight tonight!". "Sorry, Mrs TB, but you can't make changes once policy has started".  "But it hasn't yet!". "Sorry, Mrs TB..". "Up yours!"

I agree but a lovely place for a Meet and only motorways and dual carriageways so good MPG  

I usually go down to St Ives twice a year for long weekends.  I can assure you my MPG is awful.  But thats because I'm normally in a hurry to get there and get tent up before dark

I know you and Emma were discussing the possibility at the lakes.

... And my parents ended up going away the same time as we did.

It's not necessarily a requirement for them to be away, It's just that if they were in, nobody would get anything done for my Mum offering them cups of tea.

We always seem to do these in Feb, when its cold, wet, early nights etc. We must be more organised in the future.

On the other hand, it's a time of year when people aren't generally that busy...  :-/

I can't host any for a few months - I think I've put out my neighbour enough this year, plus they had their first baby last week.

There's not really enough space at our house but for a while I've had it in mind to see if there's interest in a gathering at my parents' house near Reading. For their own protection I'm going to arrange this when they are on holiday, and I believe they are going away early in the new year. I need to make some discrete enquiries to find out exactly when. Could be for cam belts, LPG, beer, all 3, bacon butties. Whatever there's demand for. There's dry garage space for 3 cars plus umpteen outside.

According to the timetable sites, my commute to work (to get there around 9ish), will take around 14hrs. Trip home (leave 5ish) can be done in a mere 7hrs.

 Why sleep on the move when he's got 8 hours of sleeping at work...?

LOL, if only.  I feel I need to sleep now.

Bloke I work with just chopped his 02 reg 210,000 mile Pug 406D for a W plate Lexus GS300.

He didn't think there'd be that much difference from his diesel - muppet

So if anyone want's a 3 litre Lexus with 220,000 miles for £2750 let me know

And he works in a Bank?  I hope it aint Natwest....
