Fitting a F/L Front Bumper
« on: 06 January 2013, 19:05:10 »

Hi all.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to change a front bumper? Will I need to take my mig to a garage?

I live in Fulham so doing work on cars in the street is a bit of a problem. Even parking near my house is a problem. ;D

Thanks very much. :y

The hardest part is getting the T25 torx screws out of the top of the bumper by the front wheels, they tend to corrode and then the fixing twists and breaks. Once they are out it's a doddle :y

Yes, I should think that working on one's own car would be a bit of a shocker round there!!!  :o  ;D

DIY Kate, theres not much to it really.Just a few fixings, most of which are plastic and require no tools. The only really awkward bit can be getting the metal screws out if they are stuck, but your old bumper is scrap so you can be as brutal as you like without worrying about doing any damage. :y
