She's cooked the car
« on: 04 July 2015, 16:43:15 »

OK car overheated in Harrogate, water topped up and drove back to Ripon, where we are at the moment. Car running fine, but when the key is removed the battery light comes on. Fuse/relay box on top of the battery very hot, bonnet up and leaving to cool; any thoughts?............. :-\ :-\

A short somewhere? If it starts and drives, get the bugger home and then worry about it. If not.....I hope you are a member of a recovery service.

Miss Vamps thought it would be great, stranded down here she would not have to go to school. I pointed out that her plan was flawed, as I pointed to my car........ :D :D :D

If the alternator/battery light remains lit with the engine off then it is going to flatten the battery overnight.
