They are invariably rich too, far more so than most of us put together will ever see. That alone makes them unsuitable to govern imo.

Rishi is stinkingly rich, his wife even more so.

The problem with career politicians of any hue, is they have scant knowledge of life outside of their ivory towers.
agreed , but just look at the pay rises since 2013 . over £ 17.000 I believe, but  one year they went without having one, poor sods , i could probably live off a mp,s  expenses.

Well, they all seemed very jolly checking passports in exchange for chocolates this morning.

The queues were moving much better through immigration...

An MP,s expenses package is the same as the salary they are paid.
My ex wife worked for one as a PA, so I know what they get
Also, as an MP, they all have to be self employed

Good for him! 👍

I understand he made his money in the City before entering politics?  ???

I read earlier that Angela Raynor our would be Deputy PM with obvious ambitions for the top job has become worth millions since entering politics!  ::)

I wonder how she has managed that?  And who would you rather have in office?

Neither, and my point was not the way he got the money, but the fact that he doesn’t have the same value on money as people with far less. I think there should be a lot more in Parliament with far less money, they can understand what it’s like when things get tough far easier than the out of touch rich kids. You don’t have to be rich to run a country. there are many people fit for the job who may not have had public schooling
but are just as intelligent and far closer to the reality of what is going on in the real world and with the majority of the people they are supposed to be serving.

Besides with shower of shit (although their all the same imo) as soon as one of them get the job whoever it is, there’s a contest as to who can get them out first, their own party or the media.

Neither of them. Rishi worked for Goldman Sachs. Even the people in the city hate them. That aside, he is very obviously completely out of his depth as PM. As evidenced a couple of days ago when he asked the homeless man he was serving food to (for the cameras) if he ran his own business. He lives on a different planet to us, and just says and does what the SPADS tell him to do, because it went down well with the focus groups.
Raynor on the other hand is just an old slapper who has got lucky, and is an utter waste of space, skin and fresh air.
If there is a potentially good leader in this Parliament, they are doing a very good job of staying under the radar.

That depends on where his roots are. Being wealthy as fook is acceptable, but it helps to have grown up sleeping in the car whilst working four jobs.

I have no issue with how rich he is. But watching him at work tells me he is clueless and has no idea how to do his job in anything resembling a competent manner.

Dont think thats going to happen tbh. His enemies (led by Rishi) waited for their opportunity, and he handed it to them on a plate.
