Regarding EV’s, the carer that visits the woman opposite me drives a Tesla Model 3 (I think that’s what model it is anyway) and when she pulls on or off the driveway at very low speed it squeals like an absolute bastard. When she pulls away it goes quiet again. Could this just be low motor load, like a sewing machine whine when not fully depressed….. umm err apparently,  ::)  or something more sinister. It’s just that I notice a few new workshops popping up online where they are specialising in EV axle motor service/rebuilds, where the motor has suffered water ingress or some other fault.  :-\
I’ve never heard another one squeal like that.  :-\  I feel comfortable when she visits in her Tesla as she is parked far enough away from my house that if it does catch fire it’ll only burn their house down and not mine.  ::)
