Would anyone be interested in a meeting around the South east kent area?
Locations such as Folkestone, Dover Deal (For those who would like a visit to the seaside)
Or Canterbury and it's surroundings?
Suggestions welcome, most popular gets it and I will arrange a suitable location and date.

LizzieZoom tried to sort a meet out couple of weeks ago,near Ashford,but when I last checked the tread it had been cancelled due to numbers.I was working in Folkestone last night..well Sandgate..so if a date or venue can be sorted count me in.

I'm still interested, don't always have weekends off due to working shifts..

Anyone else that was interested in Lizziezoom's event like to attend or have any suggestions. Meeting could be a weekday or evening if this makes life easier!

I can do almost any evening or weekend that is arranged,but will be in France from 9th August until 25th on Hols.
Do hope we can sort out a meet even if just a couple of us as those lads up North seem to be better subscribed so have a higher head count.
Come on Kent...we must be able to do something !!!

i been trying to organise a meet for other vehicles in Herne bay, theres a car park right next to the beach with a pub opposite for refreshments and loo's, maybe food too?
Herne bay, junction of Hampton pier avenue and Western esplanade!

i say beach, its more stone and water but its the coast and its nice and quiet!

Yes I know where that is as I often work round the corner in Mickleburgh Hill.I can make it as said before..agree about the beach.

Can Anyone else do next Monday evening (4th August) I know it's only a week away but hopefully the weather will be with us and we can at least meet up and make some arrangements for maybe a day out or family event.
May I suggest a 7pm meeting???
The location mentioned in herne bay works for me, or maybe Hythe Beach which has similar facilities including a nice chippy! Or a bit further inland I am sure there is somewhere Canterbury way.
Ideas or suggestions please?

I am ok for Monday evening at present,but will know better towards end of week.Either venue is fine with me,I know the chippy at Hythe and can say they are worth the drive,and great views out to sea from beach.Hope to see a few people there.

Seems a shame but as no-one has confirmed this evening's meet isn't going to happen. Guess that in Kent we all work so hard to keep up with South East prices that we don't get to socialise.
Either that or we are a bunch of miserable owners!!! ;D

i'd like to make the meet cos it timed right as i'm off work today and tommorrow. but it is a lot of fuel i'll have to burn to make it

I visit Herne [size=8](Hernia)[/size] Bay quite often; the dogs and I love the quieter end of the prom. by Hampton (yacht club/beach huts)......sorry I couldn`t make this meet-date, but will keep my eye`s open for when another Kentish meet is going to happen; I`ll come along if I possibly can! :y

Sorry to see lack of interest has caused meet to be cancelled.I will also keep a look out for anything planned again in Kent and hope we can get something organised,although I will now be away until end August.Hope we can meet up with Deb aswell.

We down in that neck of the woods (Folkstone) from 15/16 Aug for a fortnight, so if a meet does go ahead soon ..... we'll be able to go. :y

however everyone is so busy, hard up, and in addition there are not too many members down in the South East to make these mini meets a success it seems! :'( :'(
It is also a fact that there are greater numbers of owners in other area's, i.e. the North, where they can arrange a 'long' meet and at a really lovely location like the Lake District. Not saying Herne Bay / Whitstable / Folkestone aren't nice, but frankly they are not in the same league as the Lakes! They are also a long way out for a few hours worth of meet for many in the South East / South / London / Essex to travel to due to traffic congestion / fuel costs.
That's the negatives over with Pete; ;)
how about joining forces and trying to arrange a "Lakes" type meet, for 2/3 days in a really lovely South / South East location? Brighton / Eastbourne / Ashdown Forest or even further afield for us, the New Forest near Southampton? :-/ :-/
Open to suggestions really for anywhere that can take a good few tents / caravans, is positively a great scenic location and is interesting / central enough to attract a good level of members! 8-) 8-) 8-)

Sounds great Lizzie, I understand all of the reasons that make a meeting difficult, I too experience most of them, especially with a 6 month old daughter and shift work. But we all gotta pay the bills!
Would love to arrange a meeting with you and either do a weekend or evening or whatever suits the majority of members.
Maybe you would like to suggest some locations and we can have an online vote as to the best/easiest place to meet???? Even if people just copy the location they fancy most??

I am able to do most times and locations but will be away until 26th,so hope we can get something sorted after that date.As I will also now be away from a computer,just count me in on meet and will hope a venue has been agreed by the masses for when I get back.
