« on: 12 February 2010, 19:52:47 »
Just checked the system , looks like the one switch on the radiator is loose its the top one with 2 wires , if you bypass it both fans come on at a lower speed . Going to see if I can find a replacement one tomorrow . Will keep you guys posted and thanks for the replys  :y

Just checked it , I cant see any drop in voltage . But I did notice that the fan comes on when the coolant temp hits 106degrees   :o , and only my one fan comes on . The AC was removed so the other fan does not come on , will connect it with a relay that it comes on together with the other fan . And try to get another switch for the fan , maybe one that switches on at a lower temp . All the other readings MAF and tps was normal .

Will check my ground connections this weekend , I can use my laptop with a generic tech 2 and "My Naff Code Reader"  to check the supply voltage . Will give you guys feedback as soon as I have done it .

Thank You

I was mistaken does it when you are driving and the fans kick in . Going to swap out the CTS sensor with the spare one I have at home . I will post the part number to confirm that I have the correct one

Hi

How are you guys doing ? . Been a while since I have been here . When was on here last my car still had the x25xe installed . Now im running a Z32se from a Vectra C  :) . Im still using the Motronic 2.8.1 ecu from a Omega B .

Heres my problem when you drive the car and the fans kick in its fine no powerloss or hesetation . But as soon as you switch it off and start it again with the fans comming on as you start , it hesetates and feels like it does not have any power  :( . As soon as the fans go off its better . Thinking that it might be my ECT/CTS sensor acting up . Anyone had something like this before ? . The EML light does not come on and I have no error codes stored .

Thank You

Omega General Help / Will This Ecu Work ?
« on: 15 June 2009, 18:38:41 »
Hi

Ok i got my SAI sorted with the motronic 2.8.1  :y . Now i got this extra ecu but i dont know if it will work with the valves on the intake . Numbers on it are 90 457 098 & 0 261 203 272/273   FS . I had it in the car when i used the C25XE intake , using a Vectra B X25XE intale now . Just want to test it because i cant get those valves to work  :-? , but i need to know if this ecu supports them .

Thank You

i think im going to check all the wires this weekend , even if i have to take out the v6 loom to do it , thats all i can think off .

Thanks for the info guys  :y

according to the wiring diagram form autodata its wired up correctly  , is there another program that i can use to get a wiring digram for the motronic 2.8.1 SAI system ? . i never had the relay had to wait 4 weeks for it to arrive , so hoped that would be the thing to sort it out  :'(

72
as far as i know i dont have that fuse because the car didnt have the sai system , so i have no other idea how to get the engine light to stay off , it stays of for a few minutes then you hear the realy click and the light comes on again  :(

Hi

i know this has been talked about before , i have read the posts that explain how to do it . I need to bypass the secondary air injection system , the thing is i got to a point where if you reset the fault the light is dead till the car warms up then you can hear the realy switch off , then the engine check light comes on . the wires i have dont all match up to the colors shown on autodata . Using a motronic 2.8.1 ecu from a omega b x25xe
Relay is a  90491314 - Bosch 0332209136 SAI Relay
Relay Plug

Two plugs in the engine bay

85 is connected to a red/blue wire
86 goes to pin 26 on the ecu  brown/violet
87 is a thick black wire , when the car is running it has a reading of 12v , shut off the car then its like a earth .
30 has 2 wires look like a brown/white and a brown/yellow  both of these go to the plugs in the engine bay , one on each plug .

on the plugs self one has the brown/white and a brown wire , the other one brown/yellow with a brown wire . both the brown wires are earth wires . i know im missing the wire on 87a witch is a earth . could it be that i have the wrong relay , why would the solenoid need to be connected if there is no wire back to the ecu , how does the ecu know its not there  :-? .

Please help .

Thank You

Omega General Help / Re: Does this look normal
« on: 01 June 2009, 13:07:31 »
great so that means that i have to find the wires for it and get a resistor between them . if the machie did get the cam timing messed up say one tooth to slow when he replaced the belt , would that give the same symptoms ? .but i think that would give a eml light i think, the car feels strong and i can hit the limiter in 5th of the f18cr . it has a flatspot but im trying to source the 3.8bar fpr and some cams  ;) , dont think it can be the fuel pump but it is the one i had on the old 2l motor .

fogot to ask , could it be that my tech 2 is giving a wrong reading ?

hi

thanks for the info , had a code 19 but the shielding was damaged that was repaired and it was sorted , was there a diffrence between the x25xe and c25xe crankshaft position sensor ? . the cars we have here did not have the SAI system so i always had the code , i got a relay and tought that i cured it but the fault came back after i drove a bit so ill check the wires tonight again , my dual ram intake system also doesnt want to work , got vacuum when you test the wires with the ignition on you have a eath and power when you start the car both wires are live and the earth is gone  :-?.
