No I found it mate but don't understand how it came loose. I'm sure it was torqued correctly. I don't have the book of lies with me so thought I would check here for confirmation.

I was going to name this thread
'Oh no .... what have I done this time'
As a bit of a joke, just to see how many people would open it, but I was too scared  :y

Never torqued mine - just done up sensibly tight with a socket and short handled ratchett.  Never had any come loose or even fall out. :o

Although.... As Some of the other pulley bolts are of a higher value, it's easy to over tighten the water pump bolts by not re adjusting the torque wrench to 8nm.

Is the bolt completely missing or has the head sheered off?

It has actually fallen out! I started the car tonight to move it, and noticed a bit of a rattle that had not been there in the morning. I had a quick look under the bonnet and noticed the bolt lying on the plastic under tray, and the empty 'socket' on the pulley. Didn't have the time or energy to sort it there and then, so I'll need to do it first thing in the morning, and am surmising the loose bolt was the cause of the rattle.

Removing and refitting each in turn with a touch of threadlock won't hurt :y

If nothing else, it'll stop you losing one through the radiator...

As advised on the cambelt video, a dab of threadlock is required.

As for simply tightening them, I have seen a few threads get stripped in the past on these so beware  :y
