Crank sensor?
« on: 05 January 2013, 12:05:16 »

Driving this morning, with no issues. Collected Miss2112 from hockey practice and heading home when car just died. Was slowing down, approaching traffic lights, when it happened. There were no dramas or anything, it just cut out, and wouldn't restart. Was turning over, but not firing. Didn't see anything untoward, so left it for ten minutes and it started as normal, and I got home without any further problems. Car running fine as normal.
There were no other associated symptoms, but it sounds familiar!?

Thanks Martin. Just getting a quick cuppa and I'll try the codes  :y
I did try at the scene, but couldn't concentrate on counting with the verbal earache from my passengers  ::)

For some reason there's now a misfire showing (random and no. 2), and also 0335.
Off to the stealers then! Well, on Monday  ;D

Gave parts dept a quick ring (actually 1 o'clock closing on Saturday, I thought it was noon).
Anyway, two different types as suspected, so will need to confirm. One is £57 and the other is £87.
Sound about right?

My mistake  :-[ I should wear my reading glasses more  ::)

According to my red trade club book....for a 2.6 there is only the one type of sensor (2.5's there are two types)

You need p/n 90540743 Retail £47.75+vat but that is a 5 year old price list  ;D
