Title: 2.0 16v CD Auto Estate being broken
Post by: philhoward on 15 September 2009, 19:03:48
Having failed to sell it as a complete car (best bid on ebay was £121), i'm left with no other option but to break the old gal..

Anyone want any bits?  Silly prices all round - just want to get rid.  Diamond Black Metallic; OSR rear door isn't worth saving, but the bumpers are very good; towbar and LPG conversion also available..

Sick of ebay - the airflow meter made a measly 99p and i've got to send it to Belgium.  Would rather sell bits on here for £1!

Don't suppose you have the luggage net or safety net  :)

Assuming that either of them would work in a facelift...

Terribly sorry, Mantagte - came home tonight the wrong way so not past the lockup unit where the car is.  Will be going that way tomorrow night though - expect a PM!

Post by: philhoward on 19 September 2009, 20:05:58
OK chaps, removed a few more bits today, but anything else needs to come off tomorrow as its being weighed in monday..

Bits already off:
Auto Dipping Mirror
Cooling fan (normal one, not aircon)
4 off door cards and gearlever trim (Walnut effect bits) in dark grey
Light switch assembly (front and rear fogs, headlamp levelling, can rescue wiring if needed?)
4 Alloy Wheels (15") with good/very good tyres, centre caps and key
Full exhaust (cat downpipe in very good condition, remainder was replaced only a few thousand miles ago by me).
Both door mirrors (heated and work!)

Anything else anyone wants, let me know ASAP - even if silly trim clips etc.  Silly prices to clear..

Hi mate is yours a dark interior? Im looking for a glovebox, panel under the steering wheel and the pocket next to it in black as I hate the white one on mine lol. Also need a trip/clock display if yours isn't scrambled like mine.

All the trim bits are up for grabs, but the latch that stops the glovebox falling off has broken the end off - can probably be used from your existing one, or repaired with something as simple as a bolt.  Dark?  It's black dash and dark grey seats/door cards

The MID unit is readable, but not immaculate, pixel-wise.  Wish i'd taken a pic of it when it was still in one piece now!

Make me an offer by PM..i'm very reasonable..and i'll remove them tomorrow.

The crank sensor certainly did work - but not sure if the car is still there...

mantagte - didn't get chance to get over there, but suspect it might be tricky to get at the starter if it is still there as it was sitting on its sills on a mixture of soil and hardcore.

I think this one came from a facelift originally, but i'm pretty sure they all have the same foot fitting on the windcreen.

Well, the cheapest on ebay are about £30 including postage - so will £20 all-in be okay?
