hello chaps does any body know were the vacum connection on 2.0 16v goes from the hbv changed it today and pipe has been cut about three inches long !!! cheers

Omega General Help / tractor with throttle probs !!

right then just bought a tractor and the throttle seems to have a mind of its own !! tends to kanagroo on slight pressure or it goes like the clappers !! once you get over 20mph the cruise control can be used to drive it and it drives spot on any help would be greatly recived cheers

Omega General Help / eml light flickering !!

right chaps got me mv6 rebuilt and running today but got a few probs that wernt there before !! the eml light is on but flickering not bright on if you know what i mean ?? and there is a loud sucking noise aroud the top plenum ?? had a spray about and couldnt find anything ! main prob id the eml will take plenum off tommorrow nite and check all o rings !! thanks chaps

Omega General Help / urgent help required please

right had to strip my mv6 engine to remove pass side cylinder head ! due to spark plug failing and damageing two valves ! had head repaired and i refitted it yesterday come to refit cambelt and the marks had worn away so went to vauxhall and bought a new belt this morning come to fit and line up on bttm pullry and line up cams 1 and 2 ok but the marks for 3 and 4 are a mile out !! have i got the wrong cam belt ?? or am i missing something daft ?? cheers mark

Omega General Help / bose system cd changer

bit of a puzzler this one ! went to remove cd cartridge from the changer and it wouldnt come out so removed the whole changer and found the angle levers were in wrong position so put them right and got the cartridge out and refitted it and its like the head unit is not seeing the changer when you press the button on the wheel to select cd it is saying no cas on mid display ? when you insert the cartridge it does all the functions to check for cds but its like its not there to head unit ?? any help or ideas tia mark

Omega General Help / misfire and lack of power on mv6

  my car is poorly   got a misfire at idle and is well down on power ! had a good look all weekend and unable to sort it ! fitted a ful set of genuine plugs but the right hand bank rear plug was seized   after lots of pushing and pulling and left to soak in oil over night managed to get it out and it had been cross threaded and the nose of electrode had split and half of it had fell off !!!! so after fitting new plugs and a known working dis pac and set of leads still got misfire and lack of power so tonight fitted a known set of working injectors and still misfireing and down on power !! compression test tommorrow night ! what im after is has any body had any probs whith the ceramic off spark plugs damaging valves thinking possibly a bit ceramic has got stuck in valve seat   hope not but is it possible tia mark

now then chaps air bag has suddendly decided to be on all the time !! mot due at end of month   when i start car it gos out for a few secs then comes straight back on any ideas ?? got a complete set up spare is there any parts wich fail ?? oh its a 1998 mv6 saloon !! tia mark

Omega General Help / bugger think me oil cooler has expired !!!

think me oil cooler has given up got brown gunge coming out the header tank when running and oil lack on mid !!    is there any way to check other than strip it all out ?? motor runs perfect and sweet !! coolant is pressureised and weeping out of filler cap tia mark :-/

Omega General Help / major problems please help me !!!!!

right guys having a nitemare today !! over the last two weeks i have fitted new roker cover gaskets and plenum seals and various o rings !! finished putting it all back together today and redoing all the vac pipes ( thanks marks dtm ) !! went to start car and when turned ign on the rev counter sat at just above 2000 rpm   so tried to start car and having none of that !! after hours of checking found there was no fuel coming to inlet so frigged the pump to run and it pumped fuel up ok but pump not running with cranking !! any body any ideas please doing my head in at the min !!!! thanks mark
